  • The deadline for applications for fall semester for both programs is March 1st and October 1st for the spring semester.  This is a state deadline and not flexible.

The Washburn Community Education Foundation has established an award for one graduating senior who has completed four years of service learning projects that have significantly impacted the Washburn Community. This is a cash award available to any graduating senior regardless of post-secondary plans. The deadline is May 8th and here is the link to the application:

Bayfield County Local Government Scholarship is available for graduating seniors who attend 1 municipal meeting AND one county board meeting by May 26, 2020. There are some additional requirements. There are up to four $500 scholarships available. Applications available in the counseling office. For a .pdf format, copy and paste:

The AFS International Club Scholarship is available for 2020 graduates. Applicants should have hosted an exchange student, been active in welcoming exchange students and demonstrated a commitment to the Washburn International Club. Deadline is May 4th.

The Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation is offering a qualified graduating senior the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Many requirements apply such as being a verifiable family member of a Vietnam era veteran, GPA of 3.0 and other submission of an essay. Applications available in counseling office. Deadline is May 10th, 2020. Copy and paste for .pdf format:

Duluth Builder's Exchange is offering a $2,000 scholarship for student's going into the trades such as Plumber, Equipment Operator, Electrician, Carpenter, etc. Visit for more information on how to apply.

The Duluth/Superior Area Community Foundation is offering several scholarships to students who plan to attend in the Superior/Duluth area. Visit for application and more information.
